Hello, my name is Autumn. I am a 3 year old female Weimaraner. I was given up by my previous owners because they no longer had time for me. ):  

I am a shy girl, and I take a bit to warm up. But once you just leave me be, I will make my way to you and then I am your best friend.

I enjoy human company over K-9 company. I would much rather curl up with my foster mom then play with the other K-9's. I am a bit on the smaller side, and have been told I am quite pretty.

I hope to find a forever home soon so that I can get settled in with my new humans and enjoy the rest of my life knowing then I am home for good.

Hi, I'm Chloe!!  I'm a very young 10 year old female Weimaraner. I am told that I don't look my age and only have a few white hairs. I think I am quite a pretty girl! I am currently being fostered in Wisconsin.  

I ended up in rescue after my owner passed away and I was brought to a shelter. I sure do miss having a family of my own and would really love a new family to love me!  

My foster mom says I have some really cute traits. I love to carry my dog bed around the house.  Whatever room my foster mom is sitting in, I will go get my bed and bring it into the room.  I don't like to chew on anything, but I like to suck on my bed and blankies.   

I do love to cuddle and sit as close as I can to my foster mom.  She says that I am  very sweet, feminine, and affectionate.  I would do best as an only dog, but I don't mind those sweet little cats!! I do like other dogs, and I love to rough-house play with my border collie foster brother.  

I am very quiet, calm, and easy going.  I get excited when foster mom gets home from work and when she takes me for walks. I do know basic obedience- sit, lay down, stay, come, and I walk nicely on a leash.

Henrie

Henrie here- waiting patiently for a new home, got a few months to wait I guess. Since I have some time, I’ll tell you my story. I lived my whole life in an outdoor dog kennel with both of my parents and my sister, Hettie. Life was pretty simple, so I became a pretty mello, easy going guy.

Then everything changed and I was in an animal shelter and scared. The nice folks at GLWR saved me, and will care for me until I am healthy enough to be adopted. I am shy, friendly, and hoping for a chance to learn to be a companion dog in a real home with a real family. I have never been an only dog before, so I would like to go to a home with other dogs. I will need to learn crate training, house training, and basic obedience.

I am feeling pretty good today- see, I was diagnosed with Heartworm disease. I had only a mild case, my treatment is going well and I will be a healthy boy when I am done.

Please keep an eye on my website, and consider giving me a second chance for a family when the time is right. – slobbery dog kisses from Henrie

Hi, I’m Henry.  I am a 4 ½ year old large male.  I am silver in color and newly neutered.  I am current on all my vaccinations and have no health problems.  I am currently being fostered in Algoma, WI with a Pitbull Mastiff and a Lab Hound mix.  We all get along great and play a lot. I also have a friend here that is a 3yr old little boy I let him climb all over me I love the attention.  

I love meeting new people and new dogs.  I am a very social dude.  I do great around children of all ages.  I also don’t mind cats.  I really need to work on my obedience training.  I am very smart and learn new manners and tricks everyday.  I need an owner who has patience and consistency to teach me how to be a fabulous dog.  I do not crate well, but I am a very good boy when left to free roam around the house.  I can be quite the escape artist when placed in a crate! Literally no joke I can get the door open.    

I follow my foster mom everywhere. I love to just relax alot and lay around, I'm quite the couch potato. I enjoy being outside and laying on the deck with my two other doggy friends. I would classify myself as the laid back type. Regular walks are a must and plenty time for play. Thanks for looking at me I hope to find my new and final loving home. My foster mom will be sad to see me go we been having so much fun.

Maisey

Miss Maisey here, hey hey, sure glad to meet ya! I am a spunky 6 years, going on 3! Don’t let my petite size fool you, I am full of smarts, personality, and all the great weim traits it takes to be your next pal! I am house-trained, I do not crate, but don’t need to, I prefer to sleep on the couch all day, and then maybe go for a jog or hike in the evening when you are home to play with me.

I would really love a home with another dog- I would be lonely otherwise and have always lived with other dogs. No cats please, they make me hungry if you know what I mean! I sure do love kids though, I know how to be polite and patient with those little people. I enjoy a nice car trip, or visiting the dog park. I have a good recall, and do well around horses and other livestock too! Unfortunately my family had some financial difficulties and had to give me to GLWR, so I am really really hopeful I can settle in to a new family soon.

I hear I have something called Lymes disease…funny I guess since I feel just fine. They say I will get the treatment I need and will recover and be able to go home soon. I’ll be snoring in bed with my new people in no time- is that you?

Oh hi, I know you have seen me here for quite some time. My name is Scooby, and I am going on 4 years old. I have been waiting and waiting for the right family, but so far no luck.

I kind of had a reputation for being a bit of a stinker. When my foster mom would go away, I would try and climb out the window! Well, funny thing I tried that trick one too many times, and well you guessed it I broke my leg! I had to have a rod put in my leg and I was on the mends for a bit. Before that my friends at GLWR had me treated for heart worms! I came into rescue heart worm positive. I have a clean slate now, and I am very happy about that. But anyway gettin' back to that broken leg. Well, I may have learned my lesson. Cuz my foster mom says I sure am a much more mellow fellow now. It kind of made me think, "is it really such a good idea to freak out every time my foster mom leaves and climb up on stuff?" That really gets a guy to thinkin' when you end up breaking a leg or something worse!

I am a good lookin' guy and like other k-9's, but no cats for me please. Hope to hear from my forever family soon.

Well hello there, my name is Stewart. I am an 8 year young male Weimaraner. I am enjoying life now, but do miss the wife now and then. You see before I came to GLWR my life was just for making puppies. Then my previous owner surrendered the wife, me, and our last bunch of kids to GLWR.

My coat was pretty bleached out when I arrived, but now I am getting some nice Weim fur. I am told I have the cutest long ears. I would probably work well as an only dog.

I enjoy following my foster mom to the barn to feed the horses and just gallivanted around the yard with her. I love to run and feel the wind on my face, it makes me feel so free!

**Adoption Pending!! 

Hey there,

I'm Vegas!  I'm a 1 1/ 2 year old male.  I live with my foster family in Ontario, Canada.  I'm fun to be around,  my foster mom says I'm very playful.  I like walks, but they say I need to learn not to pull so much, but we're working on that together every day.  I play ball and love to jump and catch.  Stuffed toys are my favorite and mom says they keep me from taking her slippers. 

I do well in a crate and I'm also good when left alone. I love to follow my foster mom around the house, and I get along with my foster kids too.  Cats are fun to chase and bark at so I'm not sure I should be with them.  I don't counter surf but I am an extremely good vacuum cleaner, sucking up anything that falls to the floor. 

I love to cuddle up and just veg out at the end of the day.  I'm full of life (maybe a bit pushy) and have lots to offer my forever family.  Vegas

Hi ya all...Violet here....sorry I have been a bit under the weather lately so I haven't written as much as I should...First off let me say a big wiggly "THANK YOU" to all of you wonderful folks who have been so kind as to help support me during my current illness. The nice folks here at GLWR say I am now on the road to recovery and I feel so very special that all you nice folks cared enough about me to send your well wishes and to help with the cost of my treatments. I have never known such love, attention and compassion from human folks before and I sure do like it! Since I started my treatments I get a little tired still and need to take a rest for a bit so I asked my foster Mom to help give an update on my condition...
